Isocline visual identity

Isocline identifies the interactive economics applets and authoring tools. Managerial Economics remains the teaching course's identity. The repository, npm package, schema ID, KG browser API and kg.js filenames retain their existing technical names for compatibility.

Approved mark

Isocline

Use the masters in brand/. Three thin curves begin close together with visible gaps, then gradually diverge. Blue is above red, and red above green. All right endpoints share one x coordinate and have equal stroke weights. The control point is exactly on the middle curve at Bézier parameter 0.58. The curve group's full ink bounds match the capital I's height and vertical centre; the descriptor is excluded from this alignment. brand/geometry.json records the geometry.

Keep at least a control-dot diameter of clear space around the mark. Do not stretch it or rearrange its curves. SVG wordmarks use Arial / Helvetica with a sans-serif fallback; use PNG exports when fixed typography is necessary.

Clear palette

brand/palette.json is the applet palette source. The runtime colour vocabulary and its controls read it directly. These primary colours match the course:

Role Colour
Structure, buyer, demand, player 2 #2457A6 blue
Seller, cost, supply, player 1 #B84430 red
Equilibrium, profit and solved states #2B745D green
Primary text #18202B ink
Explanatory text #354052 soft ink
Supporting text #667181 muted
Reading background #F3F6FA paper
Work surfaces and print #FFFFFF white
Boundaries #D4DCE7 rule

Use semantic palette names in new specs. Explicit per-graph overrides remain supported for models that need additional series. Existing sample overrides using the former quiet-press colours have been moved to their Clear equivalents. The mathematics and interaction rules are unchanged.

Colour supplements labels and line styles; it does not replace them. In economic figures, green marks a solved state rather than general decoration. The three colours in the logo identify the brand, not three specific economic variables. Additional subdued hues in the palette support multi-series models.

Course navigation and body copy use its sans-serif stack, with Georgia for headings. The applet shell uses a plain sans-serif; graph labels keep the bundled serif fallback and KaTeX for mathematics. Print stays on white.

Attribution travels with the identity

Isocline is based on KineticGraphs / kgjs by Chris Makler. The upstream MIT copyright notice is retained verbatim, with a separate notice for Isocline's additions. Keep the full licence in source, built bundles and exports. The site, editors and standalone downloads visibly acknowledge the original project. The brand does not replace that attribution.
